Telkonet

Telkonet offers a low cost networking solutions for business offices and hotels. The Telkonet products enable:

• hotels to easily offer high-speed Internet access to guests and meeting rooms without adding new wiring
• office buildings to offer high speed network connections to each office without adding new wiring

You use three basic componenets to build a Telkonet Internet delivery system:

• Telkonet’s PlugPlus Gateway is a self-contained unit that accepts data from an existing network on one port and distributes it to the PlugPlus Coupler via the second. It has a 10/100 Ethernet port on one side and a power line carrier (PLC) on the other. Each PlugPlus Gateway is configured to support 256 PlugPlug Modems to provide a scalable, robust solution for commercial buildings.
• Telkonet’s PlugPlus Coupler sends the power line carrier signal into distribution using inexpensive coaxial cable.
• Telkonet’s PlugPlus Modem converts the power line carrier signal to Ethernet for enhanced communications and management functions. Each PlugPlus Modem sends secure encrypted signals back to the PlugPlus Gateway for complete security within the system.
  

With Telkonet’s advanced PlugPlus Internet technology, installation is effortless and quick to deploy. Installation can generally be completed in less than a single day for an entire building with 75 to 150 rooms/offices.
